i love personality tests, so is it really a surprise if dimensional is one of my fav apps of all time? i re-did my tests earlier this year - mainly to see if i’ve changed since i first did them in 2022….. and the short answer is yes.
there is no long answer because i didn’t save my results or stories before re-doing them so lol but i guess off the top of my head for my archetypes:
primary nature (passion & sensitivity → openness & intellect)
values (giver → individualist)
love (IPAF the nomad → IDAF the energetic)
recently there was an update with insight on the type of bosses to work with
looking for a boss that is
empathetic/understanding
supportive/nurturing
open-minded/flexible
inspiring/empowering
going off on a tangent, i had an interview earlier this week and the hiring manager (s) felt….human?
i’ve been a bit apprehensive sharing with people that i am on a career break - mostly because i fear their judgement and that 9 out of 10 times is they don’t (and won’t) understand. i think singaporeans are willing to overlook career breaks if you’re seen to be something productive or sacrificial: furthering your education or taking time out to care for the young/old in your family. but s didn’t make me feel bad or dismissive?
it felt like she did take time to read through my resume and portfolio… and she saw me (which is more than i can say for interviews i had with other interviewers)
“i think you’re ready to be hired” - i honestly wanted to tear up when she said this cause it’s been such a hard time for me job-search wise
painted a realistic picture of the job, learning curve and support as well as initiated the conversation on whether distance is a factor when choosing a job (i honestly think it’s fine if people have cars and drive -even though y’know global warming - but what sucked at my previous job was even though i had shared my concerns about distance, nobody really cared enough because they were all driving to work)
am hopeful but not hoping
update 28/10: i didn’t get the job…
